Kaylagh Smith joined the Copia Scientific team in May 2024 as their new Sales Director. She brings over ten years of dedicated experience in the life science industry. Known for her innovative approach and strategic mindset, she has led significant initiatives at VWR, part of Avantor, where she managed a substantial global revenue target and provided invaluable sales training to representatives across the Americas. Her leadership was key in the successful launch of Avantor’s J.T. Baker Precision Automation Plastics in the U.S. and Canada, driving impressive growth.

She has excelled in diverse roles across sales, marketing, and R&D, always bringing a personal touch to her work. We proudly announce that Matthew Silva has joined the Copia Scientific team as our new General Manager. He comes to us from Pfizer with 10+ years of experience in the realm of lab automation and robotics. Matthew previously worked as a Scientist in the Compound Management lab at Pfizer’s Global R&D facility in Groton, CT. Matthew also served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant, deploying once to Iraq, and was stationed in Fort Hood, TX where he led a team of aviation technicians. His leadership, guidance, and expertise will help launch Copia to the next level.
